Express.js is a web application framework for Node.js. It is designed to help developers build web applications and APIs (Application Programming Interface) more efficiently. In the context of web development, an API is a set of rules and definitions that allows one software application to interact with another. In this workshop, you’ll use Express to create a simple web app that provides users with motivational (or de-motivational!) quotes.
Express is the industry–standard for creating web applications, and understanding the fundamentals is your first step towards expanding your web development skills beyond the web page.
