Node.js is an open-source, cross-platform JavaScript runtime environment that executes JavaScript code outside of a web browser, allowing us to use JavaScript to build backend applications.
In this workshop, you’ll use Node.js to build a server, which is a computer program that listens to requests from clients (like web browsers) and sends back responses (like web pages and their content). Learning Node.js is your first step towards transitioning from a front-end to full-stack developer.
